MISSION
Proceeds from the the Shrimp & Grits Festival benefit over 5,000 local club kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast. The Boys and Girls Club’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those that need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
IMPACT
For the last 6 years, we have packed the docks, growing from our first year of 1,000 guests to over double our second and third years. The event features creative variations of Shrimp & Grits by local restaurants, food trucks and personal chefs from Fort Walton Beach to 30A, all competing to be crowned the best on the Emerald Coast.
The six years we have raised more than $150,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, a nonprofit devoted to “enhancing the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence through its programs focused on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.”
